Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA)

The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) is a program of study, prayer and liturgical participation for those adults who want to know more about the Catholic faith, are seeking to enter the Catholic Church, or are wanting to be confirmed in the faith. This program runs every Wednesday evening from September until April. Candidates are assigned individual catechists to help them digest the presentations and reading assignments, and to be guides and mentors in the prayer and liturgical life of the Church. The main focus of the program is knowing and understanding the Creed and Commandments, and developing a relationship with Jesus Christ.



Baptism

Baptisms are performed on the 2nd & 4th Sundays at 2:00 p.m., or by appointment.


Marriage Preparation (Pre-Cana)

The marriage course is focused on Christian marriage as a vocation -- a lifetime commitment in which spouses "marry in Christ". They become a sign to the world of His love. Marriage is the way in which spouses live out the universal call to holiness. The goals of the program (in addition to presenting this vision of marriage) are to provide our couples with the opportunity to examine, discuss, and reflect upon various aspects of their relationship before marriage, to assist them in appreciating the sacramental nature of marriage, and to provide them with the means of stregthening the marital relationship. It is through marriage that they will continue for the rest of their lives to "put on Christ".
