Baptismal Preparation

Children's Liturgy

Children from kindergarten to grade 3 are invited to participate in their own Liturgy of the Word during the readings and homily at the 9:00 a.m., 10:30 a.m. and 12:15 p.m.. Sunday Masses. They are escorted from the church to meeting rooms where they hear a child's version of the gospel with songs, activities and a simplified ritual. People who enjoy working with children, and parents whose children attend, are welcome to assist the catechists.

Committee for Communion to the Sick

This ministry brings the Eucharist to residents in two nursing homes and private homes after the 9:00 a.m. Mass each Sunday. They assist in transporting the residents to a Mass celebrated in each nursing home once a month. They also organize the annual healing Mass held at the parish.

Craft Group

Formed in 1983, this group meets every Monday morning from September to June in the Trinity Room. Crafts of all kinds are made for the annual Christmas Bazaar. The proceeds of this bazaar are given as generous contributions to organizations here at home and in the Third World.

Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist

At each of the weekend Masses, these ministers assist with the distribution of communion to the congregation. At present there are over fifty Eucharistic ministers. New members are welcome to assist in this very important ministry.

Finance Committee

In accordance with Canon Law, five or six parishioners are to be appointed by the pastor to look after the financial matters of the parish. Once each year they issue a financial report for distribution to the parishioners.

Offering a same gender exciting and fun based Catholic faith based program experience for Timber Wolves ages 8.5 to 12, Explorers ages 12 to 16 and Wayfarer Explorers ages 17 and up. Through the program we explore our faith, the environment, community, service, outdoors, games, physical and mental exercises and much more. Dedicated responsible faith based parents or other adults are encouraged to join our FNE family to grow together along side the youth in our movement.

Funeral Choir

This is a group of men and women who sing at funerals and other special liturgies. They rehearse Wednesday mornings from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the parish hall. It is a very rewarding ministry and offers comfort for the bereaved.

Junior Choir

This group of young people aged 4 to 16 years sings at the 9:00 a.m. Sunday Mass and rehearses on Tuesday evenings from 6:30 to 7:30 in the parish hall. They participate fully in the Eucharistic celebration and rehearsals consist of sight singing, musical phrasing, and dynamics, with emphasis on the individual and the group as an ensemble.

Knights of Columbus

The Knights of Columbus is a Catholic, family, fraternal, and service organization. The Blessed Trinity Council concentrates its efforts within the parish by sponsoring family activities, recreational events, charitable endeavors and fundraising.

Lectors

Parishioners interested in lectoring at weekday or Sunday Masses are always welcome. With an adequate number of lectors, each person would read once a month. Workshops are held regularly and following a short audition, the lector will be assigned to a convenient Mass time.

Marriage Preparation (Pre-Cana)

This course is offered at the parish for couples wishing to be married.

Ministers of Hospitality (Ushers)

Welcome the congregation and assist in the logistics of the Sunday liturgies.

Neighbourlink

This is an ecumenical group mobilized as volunteers through a network of area churches who express their love for God by responding to the practical needs of others in the community.

New Parishioners Committee

Our parish is a vibrant, growing, and changing community. Our objective is to reach out and welcome new parishioners by phone and in person. Three times a year a coffee social is held in the parish centre after the 10:30 a.m. Sunday Mass. Members of the committee are there to meet you and answer any questions you may have.

Parish Council

Appointed parishioners meet with the pastor to form a body of shared ministries that plans and coordinates parish policy.

Public School Catechism

These classes are held for students attending non-Catholic schools in grades one through eight in order to prepare them for the sacraments of reconciliation, eucharist, and confirmation. Classes take place on Saturday mornings from mid-October to the end of April.

Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA)

The purpose of R.C.I.A. is to encourage baptized Catholics and other interested adults to learn more about the Catholic faith and its practices, which can then lead to a renewal of their spiritual, social, and charitable lives. After a period of eight months spent in study and reflection, they may join the Blessed Trinity community and receive the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist.

Saint Vincent De Paul

The Vincentians assist needy families in the parish with food, clothing, furniture, and other basic needs. The Christmas basket program distributes gifts, toys, and food. Contributions to the poor box enable them to complete the parish program and assist in funding St. Vincent de Paul facilities for homeless women, addiction recovery, mental illness, boys and girls summer camps, and the handicapped.

Senior Choir

This group of men and women sing at the 10:30 am Sunday Mass and other special liturgies. During Advent the choir presents a Christmas concert in conjunction with other musicians. They rehearse on Thursday evenings from 7:30 to 9:45 p.m. in the parish hall. In 1997 the choir traveled to Rome and sang at the 10:30 Mass in St. Peter's.

Sharelife

Coordinates the annual Sharelife campaign in the parish.

The Catholic Women's League

Gathering: The executive committee of the CWL meets on the first Tuesday of every month and the General meeting is usually on the 2nd or 3rd Tuesday of the month.

The Catholic Women's League of Canada is an organization that contributes to the life and vitality of the church, family and community, both at home and abroad. While your presence at meetings is important, we realize that in this busy world it may not always be possible for you to attend. Be assured that your interest and support is as important as your attendance!

Theresians

The Legion of Mary

The Legion of Mary is an international association of Catholic men and women who vow to serve under the banner of Mary, Mother of God and Mediatrix of all graces. Taking Mary as their model, legionaries strive to imitate her virtues of faith, charity and humility, working with their Pastor in the Church's work of evangelization

Young Adults

Youth Group

The Blessed Trinity youth ministry invites the parish community to share in the creation of a youth-friendly environment providing opportunities for our young to hare their gifts and energy. A variety of activities are offered for grades 5 to 8. The high school youth have are involved in the core group planning, and we strive to keep them informed of the activities and meetings in the Archdiocese through the youth ministry information bulletin board located in the foyer.
